Level A or Level B EMS Instructor Course (40 hour online)

Emergency Education Institute: Level A EMS Instructor Course is conveniently offered online and can be completed at the educator’s convenience. Individuals who complete the Level A course will receive a Certificate of Completion meeting the Florida F.A.C 64J-1.0201 EMS Instructor Qualification for EMS Instructors as outlined below

The online Level A instructor Course, has been designed to provide a basic introduction of concepts to becoming an EMS educator. The course represents the didactic components and objectives from the 2002 National Association of EMS Educators.

Do I need Level A, Level B or both?

Level A Only: Adjunct Instructors, Lab Instructors, Clinical Instructors

Level A and Level B: Program Directors, Lead Instructors, Program Coordinator’s

Goals of this course include:

To assist in achieving the entry-level positions of the DOT/NHTSA 2002 Guidelines for Educating the EMS Instructor. 

To provide tools and resources to instructors who want to teach to the best of their potential

To provide foundational information on the teaching process. 

To provide opportunities for networking and aspirational growth 

Summative Evaluation of the Course:

The course will be conducted online and will include educational material pertinent to the successful completion of the course

In order for an EMS Training program to be eligible for approval according to 64J-1.0201 EMS Instructor Qualifications, each instructor must have supporting documentation that they have met the standards listed for their position. 

Participants will complete each module exam which includes information from the NAEMSE Educator Course website.
