EMS INSTRUCTOR – LEVEL A (ONLINE / DISTANCE LEARNING)

EEI’s EMS Instructor Level A course is a 40-hour online professional development program satisfying the Florida EMS Instructor Level A qualification requirements under FAC 64J-1.0201. Content is based on the 2002 National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE) Guidelines for Educating the EMS Educator and covers adult learning theory, instructional design, assessment, and EMS-specific teaching methodologies.
Who needs Level A? Adjunct Instructors, Lab Instructors, and Clinical Instructors.
Who needs Level A and Level B? Program Directors, Lead Instructors, and Program Coordinators must hold both credentials.
Prerequisites: Valid, current Florida EMT or Paramedic certification required at enrollment.

EEI’s EMS Instructor Level B course is a 40-hour online professional development program satisfying the Florida EMS Instructor Level B qualification requirements under FAC 64J-1.0201. Building on Level A foundations, this course addresses advanced instructional leadership, curriculum development, program evaluation, and instructional supervision competencies required for the Level B credential.
Prerequisites: Valid, current Florida EMT or Paramedic certification and a completed EMS Instructor Level A credential required at enrollment. Level B cannot be taken without first completing Level A.
