RN To BSN Degree

RN to BSN Program Objective: 

The objectives of this program are to prepare nursing students to complete, graduate and receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). This baccalaureate program will place you a step closer to a master’s degree or doctorate. The BSN graduate will be eligible to seek higher employment positions in Hospitals, Clinics, Home Health Centers, Schools, and Physicians’ Offices. 

Program Description: 

The RN to BSN program is designed for practicing nurses to develop their ability to integrate research and utilize evidence-based practice (EBP) framework in healthcare settings. This program provides advancement in knowledge and skills that enforces critical thinking and leadership abilities to assume greater responsibility and accountability in the nursing practice.

RN to BSN Program Goals and Objectives: 

At completion of the program, the learner will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in the following:

1. Apply critical thinking and clinical decision making in planning quality care for clients, family, and community.

2. Demonstrate competencies in leadership and management of nursing care.

3. Design a plan to improve best nursing practice based in research and evidence.

4. Demonstrate a caring, compassionate, and competent behavior in the care of clients.

5. Demonstrate cultural competency in the delivery of care among clients, family, and community.

6. Demonstrate competencies in the use of computer and technology in advancing nursing practice and healthcare.

7. Evaluate the effects of inter-professional practice framework in healthcare settings.

8. Participate in the legislation that affects healthcare and nursing practice.

9. Identify the legal, ethical, and moral reasoning in making healthcare decisions that impacts quality and safety in nursing practice.

10. Utilize evidence-based practice into the care of clients, family, and the community.

11. Demonstrate leadership skills in designing and implementing best nursing practices.
